Day 10 but 9th day walking.

Its a short day today around 4-5 kilometres along the coast. i rise up befor esunrise and head out across the road to get the sunrise occuring across the water for a time-laps but I chose to take some photos with the swans and the sunrise.

Back to campground and take the tent down and all my sleeping gear out to dry in the sun before packing it up as I have plenty of time today due to the short distance.

Off to the kitchen for cups of tea.

On the way out I head into the shop again to buy some breakfast as a change to the usual rice porridge. A bacon, egg burger was the choice.

With all gear and pack its off along the left side of the road before it crosses over to the right and upstream of the creek where it crosses over an old crossing before heading back again over the road and along the foreshore. Its bit of a long way to go instead of following the road but its the walking and cycling track form Edithburgh to Coobowie.

The wind is picking up again as I come nearer to Edithburgh and pass the pretty bay then along to the swimmong pool which is salt water fed by the high tide waves which are coming over the top of the pool edges. No one is swimming even though its hot mainly because they should be at school or working.

I hit the main street and walk until I get to a horse made of everything iron such as chains , tools etc, amazing.

the shop as closed for renovation which I knew was closed but it will be open in the future. I turn left at the pub and see a shop on the right which I go in and get some snacks before heading to the caravan park. I go pass a service station befor eI need to go left back to the sea to enter the office.

Even though its around 10.00am they let me have a site. Its right at the back on the grass but as its blowing a gale I just put my gear on the grass then its too hot so move it to the shade of the bushes near the fence. There's an opening to where I go tomorrow except I have a key for the toilets I need to go back to the office to deposit then back again tomorrow.

I hang out at the kitchen for a cup of tea and charge up stuff, then go to the service station which is the closest shop and buy a fly net, problem solved and soup for lunch. I get back and read the ingredients and have to go back to swap it for one that's gluten free. I didnt bring my glasses the first time.

Back for lunch at the kitchen and chillout or try to. But I get bored and head along the foreshore pass the pool and check out the scence and back to the campground kitchen. More hanging out there then off around 5.00 back to look around the murals near the RSL and the botanic garden before hitting the pub for dinner at 5.30 pm before the main rush hour. Steak for dinner and still hungry so a block of chocolate on the way from the first shop which is selling pizzas and fish and chips stuff. Its pretty quiet around town but the restuarant was full.

Im back at campground and decide to put up my tent now I know which way the wind is blowing and how hard and it starts to rain so I make sure my gear is dry. Some others have now taken over the BBQ and kitchen as I just get a cup of tea and leave.
