Sturt Bay shelter to Foul Bay Shelter

Day started fantastically with not a breath of wind on the beach walk where some gulls where swimming near the shore but the clouds were indicating some rain.

Then the wind started again but the rain stayed away as I headed off the beach down a trail that wasnt where i thought as the tree I saw yeaterday was still 2km or so further on. The peninsula along the bbeach walk just continues until you see pushes and no land in the distance but the trail cut soff this peninsula to head inland.

Its a funny trail  of windy roads and I keep an eye out on my phone maps not to get lost as this is where Wombat got off trail and did a few KM more but I did go a little further than I should have. I kept taking the road around to the left when near a "Do not enter" sign there is a trail between the road and property boarded by 2 fences. Well I continue on the road as it bends 90 degrees left and realise looking at the maps again I am walking parallel to this trail (200m more walk) as I see it on the left at a break between bushes but decide to walk down the road for a while but the road isnt smooth and its pretty boring so I head over, through a gate and along the actual path between the fences. A little better and I stop for morning tea on this trail before it joins the road up ahead. Its more road walking today which is rather boring and on th emain South Coast Road too with the occassional car going past so keep an ear out through the headphones. The left turn I cant wait for at a T junction then instead of a right turn down a narrow overgrown trail I hit the beach for a beach walk. Its nicer than off the beach in the scrub I think but then have to keep an eye out fo rthe turn off. Even with my phone and gps on I still miss the turn off by 20 or so metres but go back to wher eit should be climb over the sea weed and then see the trail to a carpark and a more main road to the shelter, toilet, campground and old water trough.

I have lunch late but can fill up with water as well.

Once again I'm Pat Molone but its very grassy this spot and choose a spot behind a loarge shrub type tree away from the wind.

A little spots of rain here and there but mostly good day under the shelter.

A walk to the beach , a walk around the troughs but mostly relax again for the rest of the afternoon and evening. One car goes along the grassy track to the end and turns around, Im not sure they even went to the beach.
