Day 16   Wallaby Gap to Alice Spring's Telegraph Station 13.5km plus 4km into Alice Springs. 8.1 - 21.8 degrees celcius. Medium difficulty. 620 m down 210 m up

Left Wallaby Gap at 8.00am , the second to leave up Euro Ridge.  The ground sheet and bottom of the tent is a little damp from dew.

I set up the drone before the tour groups arrive and get my best shots.

Once you come downhill 11km sign theres a campsite that could be used.

Along the way a couple of trail runners, walkers and tour groups. just as I pass the train line along comes the Ghan from Darwin. That was good timing as just befor eI had my camera on the train line trying to get some footage of me crossing the line.

It was an easy trail into Telegraph Station after Euro Ridge and then straight to the cafe at the Telegraph Station. I have banana bread which is heated and a pot of tea. I get rid of my rubbish and everything I dont need to take home on the plane.

I was suggested to take the Bradshaw walk back into town which after I walk it realise its mostly the same as Ive seen along the way and feels like a kilometre longer. Back on the riverside walk its just after 1pm and the markets in the mall are packing up and most shops look closed on the Sunday. I have lunch at  mall restuarant and eat outside. Theres a few locals humbugging (asking for money, food or trying to sell their art work) the diners which i dont experience in Darwin.

i hand around the local council lawns for a while then off to the shops for a banana and drink to pass the time. At 4.00pm i head off to the taxi rank and get a quick trip into the airport 2 hours before the flight. The check in workers only open 1 hour beforehand and so more waiting at the airport before check in. Then its another hour before the flight and more waiting then off back to Darwin.
