Day 5 Kelly Hill Caves to Hanson Bay beach 7km walk

Today is reverse direction so we travel to the Kelly Hill Caves which are closed, to walk to Hanson Bay beach where we finished yesterday.

The trail goes past a sink hole which is a sign of cave system.

Next is the large lake -Grassdale Lagoon, we walk along the bank then up a hill and about 5-10m above the lake as we walk around it. In a distance there are black swans and a few birds but there too far away to really get a good view. Today was meant to be bird viewing but only a few birds spotted such as Rainbow Lorikeet,Galahs, ducks and coots. Further walking and you can see tyre tracks I guess from Hanson Bay as you can drive onto Hanson Bay beach.

We go past the pontoon, not yet finished that crosses the South West river that flows into Hanson Bay, we when it rains heavily or high tide.

Up a big sand hill and then down onto the beach it is a walk along the beach to the car park where we catch the bus again and off to the caravan park. There is a rental house at Hanson Bay which would have great views of the bay.
