Day 5 Parara campsite to Pine Point
Good nights sleep, some wind got around the tree but generally all good.
Breakfast again next to the tree for shelter then back to the tent some 5 metres away on a smooth ground.
a good pack up and off to walk again for within 100m there's an uphill climb to the top of the cliffs and cliff walk most of the day.
James Well stop at the actual well is really some bunch of shacks along a road parallel to the beach and so is Rogues point which seem like they both merge into each other.
Then its walking along the trail on top of the cliffs with farmland in th erights and very little vegetation on the left with the cliffs a short distance over. There really isnt enough buffer for vegetation to grow and wildlife to live so not many birds and animals have been seen over the last few days.
Rex shelter is morning tea and water stop.
Off again on trail until I reach Pine Point. You take the uproad to the main road where there is a water filling station you pay for water just like a petrol station. On wards to the caravan park and check in for an unpowered spot and but up a dinner and breakfast and in between at the shop office which doubles as the towns only shop. I ask for cash as the next overnight stop at Port julia is cash only and they say no but after some time they realise I am a Walk the Yorker and their fine in doing it. They also say if you want to sleep under the shelter do it also. I spend most of the day eating, charging up, reading magazines and head to the beach which is more like a flt area with rocks pools and there is a small jetty there too.
The owners and some locals ie from Blanchtown but have a caravan there full time chat the night away next to the lit stove which keeps us warm.
There is some rain on the tent in the afternoon but generally not too much to worry about because the wind is so strong it pushes the clouds so fast across the skies.
