Day 7 Port Julia to Port Vincent

usual wake up to the birds and sunrise , back to the kitchen for breaky and pack up time. there's a table and few comfy chairs in th ekitchen as well as 2 BBQ and power outlet. The camp host said if I needed water to contact him but I just use the water tank and fill up my filter bottle fo rthe 2 litres.

Out of the gate its a retrace the steps back to the cliff edge and then walk along the cliff top to a lookout of the North cliffs just walked.

Along the coastal cliff trail through bushland until I make a wrong turn left instead of right. No signs so I make a rock arrow pointing in the direction to go ie right towards the road.

After leaving the walking trail its a long coast road walk today, there is the most narrowest gap between 2 barb wire fences the real trail goes along but after clamboring over a fallen tree, nearly ripping my pack apart I decide to leg it on the actual road. All is pretty quiet today, not too many cars maybe 2 or 3 for this section. It would be nicer along the coast here, hint hint to the landowner.

On the flat at road I come to Sheok Flat, a group of shacks and the trail decides to head to the coast road and back again. Nearby there i sit at the seats that are spread along the trail, semi shaded to have a good drink and morning tea. Its more road walk on dirt road before coming to a golf course wher eyou hop the fence and walk along the golf course trails. No one is playing at all and the fairways are browning up and the greens are a scrape ie black sand I think made with oil. Down the gully and up past the clubhouse its over the gate again out of the golf course and along the walking trail until you get to a lookout overlooking Port  Vincents harbour where I see a couple of seals playing near the cliff and rockwall.

Off again and down the hill to walk along the bricked walking path to the caravan park that I booked 2 nights before. They have no record of my booking and dont take tents but direct me to the other caravan park down the road and along a walking path. Off I go again in a huff to the next park.

They have a good kitchen and I power up electronics and set up against the fence near the office trying of course to get as much shelter from the wind as possible.

I then head into town for food resupply and head to the kiosk I had walked past that was quite busy for fish and chips for lunch. Great feed and then bacl to CP for recharging electronics and chillin. Im bored again so off to the shops a different way to check out more food.

I have dinner in the kitchen and its getting chilly so more clothes on I think because of the wind chill before hitting the sack for a good nights sleep even though theres a bit of noise from a cabin and lights coming through the tent. Even though there is a road right through the park no one drives past during the night.
