Day 8 Port Vincent CP to Stansbury CP
I wake up early to get a sunrise shot for the end of the cp and make Breakfast in the kitchen of baked beans and then off to wathc the sun rise again.
After warming up I packed up andon trail again in no time. of course once again the trail went up on top of the cliffs as a good warm up for the day along an established walking trail however there appeared to be able to walk along the beach also and come up a gully. But passed some houses and a lookout some photos on a bench then off along the walking trail along the cliff top.
Devils Gully shelter came up quickly and a little morning tea break with willy wagtails to greet me. its a little of trail and I short cut down the hill to get to it, efill up on water then out by the established road past a house and access road.
Today went passed some old buildings from an abanded mine I think and send up the drone. While I thought the walking trail on the cliff was a little boring then the trail goes along the main road and seems to go on and on as its getting warmer again. I keep an eye out for a bend but no luck until a slight bend and a crossing of the main road I a little happier with the main entrance to Stansbury now on my right but soon I am on the footpath into town before they take me off it and left down a walking path to the foreshore walking trail, very similar to Port Vincents foreshore trail.
Past the shelters, toilets, pub and the last thing in town feels like is the caravan park. Its fairly empty and i get a great site on the foreshore next to the toilets which is ok as not many people visit it but the door does bang at night. Just behind the toilets I find a plug to charge my electronics. I have 2 nights here as I am having a rest day tomorrow.
i eventually find the bench seat to record my arrival on my way to the shops where i stock up, I also check out the post office opening but head across the shops to a caravan for fish and chips again. She had never done grilled fish before so is told how to do it and manages to do it well. i check out it is open again at 5.30 for a roast so I head there after tent is set up and chilled out in the CP.
I watch a bit of TV in the Kitchen which maybe 2 other people use, but 2 people are using the BBQs when I get back. I stay up to about 9.00pm, its dark and head to bed, the latest I have been up to all trip.
